Carlac Affirms Its Commitment To The Future Of The Automotive Industry
Carlac, a market leader in supplying paint and materials to the automotive refinish, commercial vehicle and alloy wheel sectors, has confirmed its commitment to the industry's future by becoming one of the primary corporate partners of The School of Thought.
The School of Thought's single goal is to secure and attract the industry's workforce of tomorrow through inspiring programmes for young people and connecting them with businesses – securing promising career paths. By acquiring Carlac as a corporate partner they can pool resources, expertise and experience to strive towards this primary objective.
"We are delighted to confirm our corporate partner status with The School of Thought." Commented Neil Firth, Carlac's Managing Director. "We recognise the tipping point we're facing in the industry and our obligations to address and resolve the skills and generational gap. By aligning and supporting The School of Thought's innovative programmes and initiatives, we aim to collectively attract, inspire and retain young talent."
The School of Thought has been a passion project of Dave Reece, A.K.A The Industry Dad and Julie Eley for many years. Reece explained: "I can't thank team Carlac enough for joining us a corporate partner. I have a long history with Carlac, and I'm hugely excited to have them on board.
"The growing concern about the lack of skilled young talent coming into our industry is unsettling. However, by connecting with Carlac, other partners and our extensive Ambassador Network, I'm confident that we will promote the industry and deliver our message to students, parents and teachers throughout the UK."
Firth concluded: "It's an inspiring time for the company and industry, and I'm pleased to see the team is already proceeding with plans and strategies to support Dave and Julie in 2022 and beyond."
